From your front door in England to your family's door in Lithuania, or the other way round. Here is exactly what happens at each step when you send with Siuntų Bitė.
A short online form with sender, recipient and parcel details.
Before collection and before delivery, to agree convenient times.
The same company carries the parcel from start to finish.
In Lithuania, we collect and deliver across the country. In the UK, we cover London and many other areas of England. Before you book, enter the UK address or postcode in our address checker. It compares the address with our service area and gives you an instant answer. If the checker cannot find your address, call us and we will check it manually.
Pack your items in a strong box or suitcase, with fragile things wrapped and padded and no loose space inside. Make sure there is nothing on our prohibited list, such as alcohol, tobacco, medicines or money. Weigh the parcel roughly so you know whether it is small, medium or large: up to 1 kg, 1 to 30 kg, or 30 to 35 kg.
Write the recipient's name, full address with postcode and phone number on the box. If you send several boxes, number them.
Fill in the order form on our website. You will need the sender's and recipient's names, phone numbers, addresses and postcodes, the number of packages and any useful notes, such as a gate code or a fragile item. Choose a suitable sending date from the schedule shown on the form. If you prefer, call us on the UK or Lithuanian number and we will take the booking over the phone.
You can book a collection for someone else, for example your parents in Lithuania. Just enter their details as the sender.
Accuracy matters more than speed here. Double-check the phone numbers, because we use them to call both the sender and the recipient. Add flat numbers, entrance codes and any access notes, such as a gate, a narrow lane or a building with a concierge. The better the details, the smoother collection and delivery will be.
After you submit the form, we contact you to confirm the details, the price and a convenient collection time. Payment terms are agreed in advance, so you know exactly what you pay and how. If anything in the booking is unclear, we sort it out now rather than on the doorstep.
Our driver calls before arriving and collects the parcel from the agreed address. There is no need to print labels or take anything to a shop. For larger items, the driver can help with loading if this has been agreed in advance.
If you cannot be at home, someone else can hand over the parcel for you, such as a neighbour, a family member or a colleague at work. Just tell us their name and phone number when we agree the time. Have the parcel sealed and labelled before the driver arrives, so the handover takes only a minute.
Your parcel travels on our regular weekly route between England and Lithuania, with our own team responsible for it all the way. Delivery usually takes 3 to 7 days, depending on the route and schedule, and our rules set a maximum of 9 days from collection except in unforeseen circumstances. Because the parcel is not passed between several carriers, there is always someone who knows where it is.
If you have a question while the parcel is on the road, call us on the UK or Lithuanian number. You speak to the team that is carrying your parcel, in Lithuanian or English.
Before delivery, we call the recipient to agree a time when somebody will be at home. The driver hands the parcel over in person. That is the moment the box of rye bread reaches London, or the Christmas presents reach a grandmother in a village near Alytus.
If you need to send something back, the same process works in the opposite direction, at the same prices.
No. Just write the recipient's details clearly on the box. We have all the information from your booking.
Yes. Enter their details as the sender, and we will contact them to agree the collection time.
We call before delivery to agree a time. If plans change, tell us and we will arrange a new time.
Usually 3 to 7 days between England and Lithuania, depending on the schedule. We confirm the expected timing when you book.
Yes. The process is identical in the other direction. Your family books a collection at their address in Lithuania, we collect from their door and deliver to yours in England, at the same prices.
Check your postcode and book a collection in a couple of minutes.
Tell us what you want to send – we will reply as soon as possible, usually on the same working day.
