Lauktuvės: the Lithuanian tradition of bringing gifts home
Lithuanians have a word for the presents you bring when you visit family: lauktuvės. When you cannot travel yourself, a parcel does the job. Our customers send English tea and biscuits, children's clothes and toys, cosmetics, books and photo albums to Lithuania, and receive rye bread, sweets, smoked cheese, honey and handmade gifts back in England.
Siuntų Bitė began with exactly these parcels. Our founders were the ones in London waiting for a loaf of dark rye bread from home, which is why we treat every gift box as something personal, not just a barcode.
Gifts from the UK to Lithuania
We collect from your home in London or elsewhere on our English route and deliver to the recipient's door anywhere in Lithuania. Many grandparents live outside the big cities, and that is fine: we deliver to towns and villages too, and we call before we arrive.
Gifts from Lithuania to the UK
Your family books a collection at their address in Lithuania and we bring the box to your door in England. It is a simple way for parents and grandparents to send birthday presents or seasonal treats without dealing with forms at the post office.

What to put in, and what to leave out
Alcohol and tobacco are on our prohibited list, so please do not pack wine, spirits or cigarettes, even as a gift. Our vans are not refrigerated, so choose food that keeps well, such as sealed sweets, dry sausage, honey or preserves, and wrap glass jars carefully. Wrap presents in tissue inside the box rather than relying on gift wrap alone.

No. Alcohol and tobacco are prohibited items in our parcels, whatever the occasion. Please choose a different gift.
Yes, at your own responsibility. Our vans are not refrigerated, so avoid perishable meat and dairy, and pack jars so they cannot break or leak.
Yes. We deliver to cities, towns and villages across Lithuania and call the recipient before we arrive.
Yes. Book a separate parcel for each recipient address, or send one family box to a single address and let them share it out.
